The Role

We're looking for an experienced Salesforce practitioner to join our bench as a Salesforce Declarative Developer and pick up billable project work — configuring, building, documenting, and testing on active client engagements. This is a flexible, project-based engagement, not a full-time position: you're free to take on other clients or contracts concurrently.

Unlike most internships, this role is a proving ground: real, paid client work you can point to on your resume and LinkedIn, with mentorship from senior practitioners, and a genuine path toward a long-term consulting career at BrightHelm for those who want it.

What You'll Do

• Select and build out developed stories for a variety of clients.

• Perform quality assurance and testing on client configurations.

• Configure solutions, including automations and layout changes, within a defined, scoped ticket.

• Write documentation and release notes.

What We're Looking For

• Salesforce Administrator and Platform App Builder certifications required.

• Advanced Administrator, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Nonprofit Cloud certifications strongly preferred.

• Solid, demonstrated Salesforce configuration/development skills — ready to take a scoped story and run with it with minimal oversight.

• Comfort working async and managing your own time within sprint deadlines.

Compensation & Structure

• Paid hourly as a 1099 independent contractor, for billable project hours only (rounded to the nearest .25 hour), with payments provided monthly.

• Rate generally in the $60–75/hour range, based on experience.

• Not eligible for employee benefits, base salary, or BrightHelm's Professional Development Allowance.

• You're free to work with other clients/companies simultaneously — no exclusivity requirement.

• Access is scoped to what's needed for assigned project work (not full internal systems access).

Growth Path

This role serves as a proving ground for contractors interested in a long-term future with BrightHelm. Strong performers may, after a probationary period, be considered for a full-time, W2 Project Manager position — with the full benefits, salary, and career development that comes with joining the core team.
